A choice linked to a shared history and culture.
Hrvoje Meden, our joint managing partner and head of industrial production, is originally from Croatia. A shipbuilding engineer by training, his studies in Rijeka gave him an easy entry into the fields of mechanics and engineering and enabled him to identify some very good industrial production solutions.
Industrial production has been an important part of the Croatian economy for many years. 50 years ago, Croatia had companies specialising in the manufacture of conveyor belts, with thousands of employees. Today, the country’s industrial landscape has changed. The companies are smaller and family-run, but the industrial know-how in the manufacture of conveyors has remained intact.
So, when our two partners, Hrvoje Meden and Olivier Dobelle, decided to start manufacturing conveyors in 2007, working with experienced partners in the industry was an obvious choice.
